Youth Group

Raising up the youth in Christ, for Christ.

All youth from rades 7-12 are invited to our annual Christmas Party is on Saturday, December 7th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. In our jam packed evening of fun we'll sing some Christmas hymns, have a brief devotional, play games and of course, enjoy our highly anticipated white elephant gift exchange.

To participate in the gift exchange please bring a gift no greater than $10 in value.

We will also provide pizza and hot chocolate. Please encourage youth to bring other snacks, desserts or drinks as desired.

We'll be gathering at the church building in the community room.

About Us

Here at Calvary we place a very high value on raising up the youth in Jesus Christ. Our desire is that each youth would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and grow in their faith and love towards Him. Our youth ministry team is devoted to discipling the youth, encouraging them, and assist parents in raising up a generation of Spirit-led believers.

Every Wednesday evening from 6:30:00 to 8:30pm we meet for Youth Group. During this time we participate in worship together, study God's Word, pray together, and end with a game. We focus heavily on using this time to deepen relationships, build trust, and ultimately make the gospel known to each young person who comes.

The Youth Group at Calvary Mercer is divided into a Senior High group (9th-12th grades) and a Junior High Group (7th-8th grades). Both groups meet together on Wednesday evenings and spend most of the time together, but separate when it comes time for Bible study. This is so each group can learn with an age-specific focus and have a deeper sense of community within their age group.

If you have a child within the 7th-12th grade range, we would love to connect with you and see your child at the next youth group gathering!

Ministry Verses

"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." -Romans 12:1-2

"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." - Ephesians 5:1-2
